Brian F. Schreurs, 32, of Morgantown passed away on Friday, December 8, 2006 in a car accident.
Brian was born on June 4, 1974 in Stoneham, Massachusetts, the son of Stephen and Susan Clement Schreurs of Olney, Maryland. Brian was survived by his wife Kara Coast Schreurs, their Scottish Terriers Taz & Ellie, his brother Blake and his wife Barbie and their son Ales, and his grandparents Merle and Palla Schreurs.
Brian earned a Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia University and has since built a career as a Managing Editor for Lockhead Martin and a Technical Writer for Performance Results Corporation. In addition to his editorial career Brian was an entrepreneur and created Coltrane Productions and West Virginia Riders. Coltrane Productions specialized in CD-ROM media, magazines, and book publishing. West Virginia Riders allowed him to enjoy his passion for motorcycling and share with others the beauty of the State of WV through traveling the winding roads.
Brian had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed many great trips. His first big adventure was driving 4, 471 miles through the Australian Outback in 10 day in a 1965 Jaguar S-Type, why you ask?, to commemorate a similar event that occurred in 1951 and because it sounded like fun. Soon his adventures turned to motorcycling. A cross country trip from Delaware to California with his father started it all. This September he became a land speed racer at the Bonneville Salt Flats in his Kawasaki ZZR-1200 with his friends Josh and Todd. More trips to Bonneville were already being talked about. He was inducted into the Iron Butt Association by participating in several long distance rides. His latest adventure in the works was a trip from Key West, Florida to Dead Horse, Alaska with his father. He also took to the track fro racing instruction and was becoming very skilled. Most of all Brian had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to meet new people, and showed kindness to people and animals alike. He loved nature and experiencing life in the open breeze of a motorcycle and after riding with him I understood why.
I bought a magnet for Brian that so simply states his life's beliefs, it's called Walk on the Wild Side. "Dance to the music of your dreams. Follow your bliss. Be sensational. Live your passion. Seek adventure. Learn something new. Make mistakes. Trust yourself. Take a chance. Unleash the power of your creativity. Speak your truth. Lose yourself in laughter. Fall in love with life and celebrate the uniqueness of you." Brian you will be loved and cherished by all those that survive you and we will be forever changed by having known you. I love you Bry---Kara.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 19 with visitation from noon until the time of the memorial service at 1p.m. with Rev. Robert Richards officiating.
